Fellowship Award: 2021 Civitas Dei Fellowship (summer)
I am thrilled to announce I have been invited to be one of the prestigious 2021 Civitas Dei Fellows, sponsored by the Thomistic Institute and the Institute for Human Ecology.
This summer, I’ll be traveling to Washington D.C. in June for 5 days of presentations, lectures, discussions, and meetings with eminent scholars, professors, graduates, and clerics. This year’s theme is “Art, Meaning, and the Public Square”. I am truly grateful for this great honor and opportunity, to advance true culture, and I intend to bring the absolute best I can offer, both intellectually, creatively, and in spiritual fellowship in Christ.
“The Civitas Dei Summer Fellowship is a project sponsored by the Institute for Human Ecology at the Catholic University of America and by the Thomistic Institute at the Dominican House of Studies that offers competitive fellowships for scholars drawing from across fields in the sciences, humanities, and from law. Accepted fellowship recipients attend a one week program in Washington, DC that offers courses and seminars given by distinguished scholars focusing on some aspect of Catholic thought in relation to culture and public life.. “

Working away on a big liturgical commission this year
Im happy to share that Im working hard on a big liturgical art commission for an Eastern rite Byzantine Catholic church here in San Francisco California. More details to follow as the project nears completion.
First Semester of Graduate School finished
I am so happy to have been accepted as a Special student, and now completed my first semester course of study at the wonderful Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology, located in Berkeley CA. Run by the brilliant scholars and mendicant friars and priests of the Dominican Order of Preachers, this school is a beautiful synthesis of a rigorous philosophical program, a theological education, and a seminary. I will be working towards a degree in Theological Aesthetics over the next few years, which will aid me not only in more deeply understanding and thinking about the relationship of Truth to Beauty, but also the nature of sacred art, architecture, ritual, and religion, all things I already love and have studied all over the world. Such study will also eventually give me a credential with which to teach this subject on the university level, something I hope to do a little later on in my career.
MAJOR SALE! So thrilled to have sold this major work to a pair of collectors in Atlanta Georgia, who just purchased a new home!
I hope it brings them many years joy and pleasure.

RECENT BOOK COVER DESIGN NOW PUBLISHED
I was honored to be recently asked to create the cover design for my dear friend Yuval Ron's newly released book;
DIVINE ATTUNEMENT: Music as a Path to Wisdom.
The cover utilizes an image of the moon as a symbol of Oneness, flowing from the classic oud, the middle eastern mandolin of which Yuval is a master. The oud on the cover design is derived from an image of the first oud Yuval owned after learning to play it by a desert Bedouin tribe.
